Block Friday Sale
« on: November 09, 2018, 01:10:18 PM »
Welcome to the Arizona Diamondback fire sale.  We'll be open on Thanksgiving too, to make sure everyone can get all of their Xmas shopping done.  See below, prices are negotiable.

Paul Goldschmidt, has one year left at $6.4M.  Want a pretty large return here in talent, not quantity.

Daniel Murphy, has one year left at $26M.  Will provide salary help, but want some prospects back too.

Jake Lamb, first arb year $1.8M.

Jose Pirela, first arb year $800k.

I'm looking for Right-handed Starting pitchers, draft picks (any and all), and LARGE bat outfielders.  I will generally tell you what I want from your team, but I'm really picky, so some of you don't have it.

Since the real life Mets are the smartest team in baseball, I thought I'd try to mimic one of their trades.

If you would like an instant half an infield, you can acquire Paul Goldschmidt and Daniel Murphy together.  Both players have one year remaining at a combined salary of 32.4 mil.

That works out to the cheapest WAR on the market right now.

I will want some prospects back too, but nothing like what Goldy would have commanded alone.

Message me if you're interested in taking on 32 mil for an instant playoff shot and the ability to skip the uncertainty of free agency.

Piggy backing off of all the recent block posts, I'm updating mine accordingly.

I would like to receive an exceptional bat at a premium position with a pre-arb salary.  I would even take two, or, gasp, three of those guys off your hands.

Otherwise, a true Ace without any injury concerns who is just now breaking out could also be useful to me.

I can give you something modest in return, an extremely late round 2020 pick or a guy I'm about to cut anyway.  Take a look at Marquise Doherty, Dallas Beeler, or Cory Rasmus, any of whom might return to professional baseball at any moment.  Choose two of those three if you send me two first rounders.

I'm not dicking around guys.  I'm here to win a championship.

All joking aside...

I don't have room on my 40 man for Anthony Banda or Miguel Andujar right now.

Yes, I need significant value for them, but I'm not going to be ridiculous about it.  I fully expect you to win the trade.

My team is better than your team. These guys have been realigned to minor league camp on my team, they'd probably start for yours. Want specs or picks back.  I will usually tell you what I need.

Jake Lamb 101+ from the left side, plays up because he's got career splits that feast on RHPs.

Mark Zagunis.  Good defense, years of control, 93+ from right side.

Jordan Luplow.  This guy starts for the real life Indians.

Ryan Dull.  Future closer, 106+ and years of control. 9.00 k/9.

Jake Barrett.  9.48k/9, years of control, 101+.

Wilmer Font.  5th starter, years of control, super cheap.

Looking for a LH middle infidel.  Defense doesn't matter.  Control doesn't matter.  Just need him.  PM me your excess LH batters.

Michael A. Taylor wants to be your 4th OF.  The Diamondbacks had a major disagreement with him since he wouldn't watch adult movies in the clubhouse during games.  That's a dealbreaker for us.

Send me your worst 19 draft pick and he's yours.
