Draft Day Poll
« on: May 13, 2019, 01:34:50 PM »
What day would you like to see our Amateur Draft start?

The draft IRL starts on Monday, June 3rd @ 8 PM.

Feel free to discuss.  If there's a tie vote, we'll narrow down the voting to the options that are tied.

Keep in mind that Daryl will be running the draft, so the times picks are due will likely be in the morning.  In other words, if you pick Monday, you'll be drafting in this league (in the top 5) BEFORE knowing the results of the draft IRL.

I'd prefer to see the results of round one before our draft to finalize my ranking based on the results.  I also want to see any top prospects skipped to confirm college intentions.

Selfishly I chose June 8th.  We are going on a Cruise to Alaska from the 27th-6th, and I worry I might miss my pick otherwise (though we arrive back in Seattle on the 4th, so I could make it work possibly if it was earlier.

Round 1 will be done on June 3rd.  The entire draft will be wrapped up by the end of June 5th.

In regards to our draft, we only require 5 picks per day.

So, essentially, you'd have picks 1-5 on day 1, and each round would take roughly a week.

Now, teams can turn in picks early, and due dates will shift forward, but every day in this poll (other than Monday) will allow you to see the results of the 1st round (at a minimum), before your pick is due.

I'll be out of town and pretty much unreachable from June 1st to June 10th, so I'd love a later draft start. I've made it work the past few years, though, so I will again this year.
2016: 94-68 (WC, World Series Champ)
2017: 89-73 (WC)
2018: 101-61 (NL Central Champ)

Totals: 284-202 (2x WC, 1x Division Champ, 1x World Series Champ)

Okay, I edited the poll so voters can now change their votes.  I'd highly suggest to vote for one of the top two options being voted on (6/4 or 6/10), but that's completely up to you.

Sorry guys, but I keep forgetting about this since I was working longer hours this week.

So, we have a tie between two dates.

I'm going to post a new poll with only two options.

If we get a tie again, the EC will make a final decision based on feedback.

Poll coming in a few minutes.
