|
The Milwaukee Brewers got a sterling performance from shortstop Elvis Andrus, but the New York Mets still prevailed, 5-3. Andrus went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the win was Lance Lynn. He went 6.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 1. The victory gives New York a record of 78-78.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jake Cronenworth? The New York third baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Mets on top, 4-0. For the game, Cronenworth had 2 doubles and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
