The future looks extremely bright for David Garcia. At the age of 21, many players are still trying to find their way in Low-A West.
Garcia has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Low-A West Most Valuable Player Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .285 this year, that's for sure," the catcher said.
The Fresno Grizzlies star also put up a .403 on-base percentage this year, with 92 hits, 16 doubles, 2 triples, 11 home runs, 55 RBIs and 51 runs scored.
He received 8 first place votes, as a unanimous winner.
